Now it's time to highlight the extraordinary efforts of 47-year-old Samuel Bledsoe, a former police officer from Blountville, Tennessee.Last Friday, Samuel went out drinking with his unidentified father-in-law, and they both got completely blitzed. Which is fine. Except that at the end of the night, Samuel decided to get behind the wheel of his car and it was all downhill from there. While he was driving, Samuel got a flat tire. So he pulled over to the side of the road to fix it. But before he could get started, Samuel started vomiting on himself, and his father-in-law passed out in the snow next to the car. A little later, a cop showed up and found Samuel passed out in the front seat of the car. He had Samuel perform a few field sobriety tests, which he failed miserably, and was placed under arrest for drunk driving. Right about then, it dawned on Samuel that a DUI conviction could cost him his job. At which point he totally lost his head, and tried to slam the car door on a state trooper. Then, once the cops finally got him in the cop car, the arresting officer says Samuel started screaming at him, and kicking the door and cage of the cruiser. The officer pulled over once and gave Samuel a warning, but Samuel didn't listen. So he pulled over a second time and placed Samuel inside a K-9 cage. Over the weekend, the Sheriff's Department conducted an internal investigation into Samuel's case. And on Monday, Samuel was officially given the boot.
