Bill Clinton spoke at the 18th International AIDS Conference yesterday, and somehow it came up that one of his favorite movies was "The Bucket List".
That's the one where Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are two terminally ill guys who make a list of all the things they want to do before they kick the bucket.
Clinton said, quote, "I'll soon be 64, so I think I'm old enough to join Jack and Morgan in making a bucket list, but I have an A list and a B list, and the B list would be fun to do, but doesn't amount to a hill of beans whether I get to do it or not."
There were two things on Clinton's A list: One, to live to see his own grandchildren. And two, quote, "To know that all the grandchildren of the world will have the chance in the not-too-distant future to live their own dreams and not die before their time."
And here were three things on Clinton's B-list: First, he said he wanted to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro before the snow at the top melts. That's the highest peak in Africa, and scientists have warned that climate change will melt the snow off it in 20 years.
Second, he said he wanted to run a marathon. And third, he said, quote, "There's lots of things I'd like to do, but it doesn't really matter whether I do them."
According to a new poll by QVC,the shopping channel, women reach the peak of their beauty when they're 31 years old.
The poll surveyed 2,000 men and women, and here's some of what they found . . .
70% of the people surveyed said that confidence was the main factor in how attractive a woman was. Yeah, that's what I thought too. But check this out . . .
In the same study, 67% of people said that good looks are what matter most. Again, I know what you're thinking. Those numbers don't really add up. But this is QVC people, not Harvard Medical School.
And also, it seems like people were allowed to pick different factors that contributed to their idea of what makes someone beautiful. So it sort of makes sense.
Anyway, here's how they ended up with the whole, '31-is-beautiful' thing: 47% of the people surveyed also equated stylishness with beauty.
So according to the poll, the average 31-year-old still has youthful physical beauty they have more confidence than they did before and they have a better sense of style than teenagers or people in their 20s.
We've been hearing about those full-body airport security scanners for a while now. They're officially called "millimeter wave scanners," and the Feds are supposed to be deploying 450 of them around the country this year.
Obviously, the controversy's been about whether they're an invasion of privacy, since they create a detailed image of the skin under your clothes including your privates.
The Woman With the World's Largest Boobs Had to Get Them Reduced
Thursday, 15 July 2010 08:09
Sheyla Hershey is that Brazilian model with the World's Largest Breasts. She's 30, she lives in Houston, and she's got size 38-KKK cans. And she pops up in the news whenever she gets another ridiculous boob job. But it looks like those days are over.
After her most recent surgery in June, she contracted a dangerous staph infection that reached both cans. So on Tuesday, she underwent surgery to remove the implants, and maybe even one or both of her breasts. And apparently it didn't go well.
If you remember, Sheyla actually broke the record a couple years ago, when she had M-cup implants installed. But in January of last year, she had surgery to reduce her cup size from an M to a mere KKK, when she learned that she was pregnant.
For the record, it's not really clear whether her record is for the M-cup monsters, or the KKK ones. And it was the Brazilian equivalent of the "Guinness Book of World Records" anyway, so who cares.
Anyway, last month she went under the knife again, that's over 30 surgeries now. And the last few operations have been in Brazil, because Texas law prevents inserting more than a gallon of silicone into the human body, since it could be toxic.
Young Girl Finds Out BF Is Really a 31 Year Old Woman
Monday, 12 July 2010 07:35
You know how, if it turned out Justin Bieber was actually a middle-aged lesbian woman in disguise, you'd be surprised but not totally shocked? A situation like that just happened in Ohio.
A 16-year-old girl from Springboro, Ohio whose name hasn't been released had been dating a 14-year-old boy named Matt Abrams. Matt was 4-foot-11, making him much shorter than the girl, who's 5-foot-5.
Well, after a week of dating, they decided to spend some time together in a hotel. But, three days into their stay, the 16-year-old girl ran off.
Because she discovered that 14-year-old Matt was actually a 31 year old woman named Patricia.
Patricia Dye, of Franklin, Ohio, had been posing as the 14-year-old boy to get close to the girl. They did have some sexual contact when they were together, before the victim realized Matt was a woman.
Dye was charged with corruption of a minor and unlawful sex with a minor. She's being held in jail on $100,000 bond.
The police are investigating whether there are other victims.
Guys like to believe the rumor that as women get older, they get a lot more open to doing freakier and more deviant sexual stuff. But now, science has stepped in to prove that it's true.
A team of psychologists at the University of Texas just finished a study that found women between the ages of 27 and 45 have a heightened sex drive and are way more open to doing things younger woman never would.
Here's the reason: Biologically, as a woman gets older, her body starts to realize her reproductive years are disappearing. So her brain becomes more open to doing things that will lead to having kids and passing along her genes.
Women between 27 and 45 are more likely to have frequent sexual fantasies, more intense fantasies, more one-night stands, a more active sex life, and way more casual sex.
Judith Easton is a psychology grad student who worked on the study, and she says, quote, "Our findings suggest that women don't need to go 'baby crazy' in their 30s or go around thinking they're supposed to be having a sexual peak.
"Our results suggest that these behaviors [happen] in all women when their fertility starts declining. Women's psychology will continue to motivate them to try until menopause."
