Best April Fools Pranks of 2014

Apr 01, 2014 -- 2:09pm

Well it’s April fools day. I accept the fact that I’m extremely gullible, and am an obvious target for pranks. Lets hope this year I dodge the bullet, especially at the office.

I always wonder what the best prank is. So far I’ve seen some pretty creative stuff, mostly from a list published in Time Magazine. There is some pretty crazy stuff on this list, but there are five pranks in particular that I found to be both ridiculous and incredible.

  1. Boogie IQ | the watch that shows how many calories you burn while twerking.
  2. Southwest Mars Flights | a newscast that promotes Southwest Airlines flight to Mars for only $9,999.
  3. “Pokemon Master” Position at Google | Based on who can find the most Pokemon characters in its maps app.
  4. Whisky Sunscreen | an app that keeps your drink cool, and a meditation CD featuring sounds of the distillery. There is also Whiskey mouthwash, toothpaste and more!
  5. Yolo University | Students stole the letters YOLO from the LOYOLA sign at Loyola University New Orleans. The sign is permanently placed in front of the school.

Personally, I would have applied for the position to be a Pokemon Master. The commercial is pretty convincing. But like I said, I’m pretty gullible.

Anyways, I wish the best of luck to all of you on this day. Watch out for those crazy pranksters!
